It’s amazing … each and every time we meet, it just gets better and better. The July tasting of the Vegas Wineaux Wine Club was more than that - it was extraordinary.!

Rick and Joyce opened up their wonderful home to our group of wine-loving miscreants, and we showed up with wine, lots of food, and an appetite for fun. The theme was Blends - Two, Three, Four’s Company! and the membership didn’t disappoint.

I discovered something that I had only been suspicious of before. The Wine Club members can rock in the kitchen. The food has been incredible, and I think that the July tasting topped them all. Luscious salads, ceviche, and desserts were shared with pride.

Enjoy the slideshow! As you can see, we had a great time, and the company was wonderful. I’ll let the slideshow do the talking … y’all just sit back and enjoy!

Today marks the seventh anniversary of one of the smartest decisions I’ve ever made: that is, getting married to Melissa (aka: wife 2.0, or, for those who listen to the show, my favorite Naughty Jelly Sweet).

We’re going to have dinner on the Strip tonight and celebrate both our nine years together and seven years of marriage.  I expect we’ll also toast to the fact that neither of us feel any kind of seven-year itch approaching!

Besides the nuptial anniversary, a second fun anniversary is fast approaching as well: this Saturday (8/1/09) will mark our forth year living in Las Vegas.
